What is Boudoir?
"Boudoir " originates from the late 18th-century French word 'bouder' which means 'to pout' or 'pouting place' and is further translated to 'a woman’s bedroom or a private sitting room' therefore, Boudoir photography usually takes place in a setting such as a bedroom to create stunningly artistic and tasteful images. Boudoir images can be soft, romantic, sexy or sensual, it all depends how you want to be captured!
Who are Boudoir shoots for?
Whether you want to surprise your significant other with a unique and personal gift or simply give yourself a confidence boost by seeing yourself in a different light, Boudoir photography is for everyone!
'I want to have a boudoir shoot but I don't think I have the right body type'
We believe that everyone is beautiful, no matter what their size or shape! Whether you're petite or plus-size, have scars or stretch marks, Boudoir photography will leave you feeling confident, sexy and body positive!
Will hair and makeup assistance be provided?
Hair styling and makeup will be provided by our in-house MUA, however, please feel free to bring your own hair extensions or makeup items that you wish to use for the shoot.
Can my friend come with me?
You are more than welcome to bring a friend or family member with you to your shoot. It is entirely up to you whether you want them to be present during the session or if you'd prefer for them to wait in our comfy seating area.
Will you use my photographs online?
Here at Minxxx Boudoir, we understand that you may not want us to use your photographs online, whether that be for security or personal reasons. Perhaps you're a teacher and don't find it appropriate for your images to be on the internet? Under GDPR regulations, we will always ask for your permission before using your images on our website, social media or in our studio gallery.
Do I need to bring my own outfits?
Yes, we recommend bringing 3 different outfits for your shoot.
How long does the shoot take?
2 hours in total. Hair and makeup takes around an hour and then another hour for the shoot itself.
Do I have a say in what kind of photographs I want?
Absolutely! Boudoir photography is first and foremost about you and how you want to feel. Whether you want something sexy or subtle, fun or feminine, you are completely in control!
Do I get to choose my images?
Absolutely! You will have the opportunity to choose your photo's in your viewing session.
Is it a male or female Photographer?
Chloe is our amazing primary boudoir photographer, but Steve is Availabe upon request and is chaperoned at all times.
